Understanding Permalinks

Permalinks are the permanent URLs that point to your website's pages and posts. They are essential for search engine optimization (SEO) and can affect your website's user experience as well. In ClickTribe, you can customize permalinks to create SEO-friendly URLs that are easy to read and remember.

Step 1: Access the Permalinks Settings

Go to your ClickTribe dashboard and navigate to Settings > Permalinks. You will see the Permalinks Settings page with various permalink options.

Step 2: Choose a Permalink Structure

ClickTribe offers several permalink structure options that you can choose from, including Plain, Day and Name, Month and Name, Numeric, Post Name, and Custom Structure. The most commonly used permalink structure is Post Name, which includes the post or page title in the URL.

Step 3: Customize the Permalink Structure (Optional)

If you choose the Custom Structure option, you can create your own permalink structure by using various tags. For example, you can use %category% to include the category name in the URL, %postname% to include the post or page title, and %year%, %month%, or %day% to include the date.

Step 4: Save Changes

After choosing or customizing the permalink structure, click the Save Changes button to update your ClickTribe website's permalinks.
